Many clients starting therapy may grapple with feelings of overwhelm or confusion, unsure of where to begin or how to navigate the complexities of their emotions. It’s common for individuals to seek therapy when they’re facing challenges within their life, whether they are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, addictions or a myriad of other concerns.

I believe in taking a holistic and strengths-based approach to therapy, honouring each individuals’ unique experiences and strengths. My therapeutic style is collaborative, empathetic, and culturally sensitive, fostering a safe and nonjudgmental space for healing and growth.

I strive to create a safe, and supportive space to explore these difficulties, to gain insight into oneself, and to develop coping strategies to move forward towards healing and growth.

I am a Registered Social Worker (both in Ontario and in British Columbia) with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor, and a Bachelor of Social Work degree (with a Child Welfare specialization) from the University of Victoria. I bring more than 17 years of Social Work experience in various clinical settings.

I have extensive experience as a clinical social worker, focusing on issues such as mental health, addictions, couples counselling, trauma, PTSD and grief and bereavement. I advocate for a strong commitment to client centered practice to ensure that individuals and families have the support, tools, education for growth and healing. I speak fluent: Punjabi, Urdu and Hindi languages. I am also a certified Life and Wellness coach, and an Access Bars Practitioner; using these modes of therapies to guide individuals through their journey of self-discovery, and empowerment.

Drawing from cognitive-behavioral, narrative, mindfulness and solution-focused approaches, I seek to draw on each individual’s strengths to promote client empowerment, self-advocacy and improved quality of life.
